The Centenary Salvation Army hosts the annual Carols in the Park - traditionally held on the first Sunday in December at Peter Lightfoot Oval in Middle Park. This popular event is sponsored by local businesses and organisations and is attended by thousands of people each year.
The Kiwanis Club of Brisbane has supported the event and provided a BBQ for the Carols in the Park for more than 15 years. The net proceeds allow the Centenary Salvation Army to provide funding for the nativity animals that play a part in the Christmas celebrations.
