Miraa House is a learning life skills centre for women aged 17 and over who have an intellectual disability. Miraa House works with small groups of women only, teaching essential life skills and helping the ladies become more independent, while building their self-confidence, establishing relationships, and connecting with the community.
Their program is delivered through their dedicated and highly qualified team, including a special education teacher, social worker and support workers. Their goal is to help the ladies to become more independent by building on their existing skills and introducing new experiences in a caring and supportive environment.
Miraa House was the beneficiary of the 4074 Community and Beyond Family Fun Day which was held April 23, 2023 and Kiwanis was proud to support by running the BBQ.
